Terms of service

SpeakA3 is a free, private family-tree app. By signing in and using it, you agree to these terms. They're kept short and plain on purpose.

Using SpeakA3

• Use SpeakA3 to build and share your own family's tree with relatives you invite.
• Keep your sign-in to yourself, and only invite people you actually want in the room.
• Don't use it to harass anyone, to store things that aren't about family, or to try to access rooms you haven't been invited to.

What you add

• You're responsible for what you add - names, dates, stories and photos. Only upload photos you're allowed to share.
• Be considerate about living relatives: add only what they'd be comfortable with the room seeing, and remove or correct their details if they ask.
• What you add stays yours. You allow SpeakA3 to store it and show it to the members of the room, which is what the app needs to do its job.

Rooms and access

• The owner of a room decides who is in it, can make members view-only, and can remove members or delete the room.
• Members can edit their own branch of the tree and the people they add, as the app allows.

Availability

SpeakA3 is provided as it is, without guarantees. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable, such as original photos.

Ending use

You can stop using SpeakA3 at any time and ask for your account to be removed. Access may be removed for anyone who misuses the app or breaks these terms.

How we handle personal information is explained in the Privacy policy.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
